Here are the best affordable electric bikes for 2022. These are all near or below $1000, and have solid good reviews from, both reviewers like myself, and a larger customer base. These aren’t in any particular order.

Lectric XP 2.0

Probably the most popular budget friendly ebike in the United States is the Lectric XP 2.0. This is a fat tire, folding ebikes that is popular with RV’ers and those needing a more portable bike to haul inside a vehicle. The Lectric XP 2.0 is zippy, built like a tank, and can be fast! I see a lot of these on the trails in my city!

Rad Power Bikes RadMission

The RadMission from Rad Power Bikes is their most affordable model. This is a single-gear, hub-driven ebike from a reputable company. This is going to be a big step above those cheap Walmart or Amazon bikes from unknown companies. It’s a Class 2 ebike with a twist throttle and a range of up to 45 miles. You’re getting mechanical disc brakes, 27.5 x 1.95″ tires for efficient but comfortable city riding, and the choice between a high-step and step-thru frame in several colors.

Ride1Up Roadster V2

The Ride1Up Roadster V2 is a stealthy and lightweight ebike for pedaling enthusiasts. The Roadster V2 is the second version of the Roadster. Gravel tires were added for more versatility. The battery is completely concealed in the frame. In fact, it’s hard to tell it is an ebike from a distance, which can be a great thing. It’s a single speed but features a durable Gates belt drive for low maintenance. 700 C tires make the Roadster V2 a familiar riding experience for those coming from a road bike or gravel bike background. It just gives you the boost you need to ride farther and more confidently, while letting you get a satisfying workout.

Lectric XP Lite

This is our second entry from Lectric on this list. This is going to give you much the same experience as the Lectric XP 2.0 but in a smaller, more nimble, and more portable package. The Lectric XP Lite is the ebike that I recommend the most for RVers because it is truly portable, easier to lift, and takes up less space. I also think that it is one of the best electric bikes for older riders, shorter riders and those new to ebikes because it is easier to handle. The price is terrific too at $899, but often on sale for even less.
