I just wanted to share my favorite watch face for my Samsung Gear Sport. If you’re looking for a fun, colorful, animated watch face for your Galaxy Watch, Gear S3, or Gear Sport then you might want to take a look at this one.
It reminds me a bit of my favorite watch face for the Fitbit Versa, called Timmy. It’s a dog that walks when the watch detects the wearer is walking and even sleeps in a doghouse when you’re sleeping. The dog even will leave until you’ve taken enough steps. Good motivation, although it hasn’t been working right for me for the past few months.
The Joe watch face by Infinity Watchfaces is similar, except your buddy never runs away no matter how lazy you are but he does have a friendly face for you when you wake up and as you get up and moving and walk enough steps, he’ll stand up. As you get closer to your step goal, Joe begins to run.
There are several background color and pattern choices. Some of the backgrounds are animated and respond to movements made with your wrist. The watch face uses the watch’s gyroscope sensor to make this possible. Cool!
The screen display on the Gear Sport is the best I’ve seen. I would imagine the same can be said for the new Galaxy Watch since it’s very similar to the Gear Sport.
Having such a good display makes for very good graphics for apps and watch faces. One of the things that Samsung has over the Apple Watch is the wide variety of third-party watch faces that available and Joe is just one of hundreds, if not thousands.
Joe is a paid watch face through the Galaxy Wearable app, which used to be called Samsung Gear app if I remember correctly. The price when I purchased it was only $1.99.
