Three Budget Friendly Fitness Trackers

cool new gadgets

I love finding good budget friendly fitness trackers with potential to review and the three I have on my list to review are the HB08 smart bracelet, the Diggro DB-05 outdoor GPS watch, and the P1 running GPS smartwatch.  Look for full reviews of each to be coming over the next few weeks.  I’ll be reviewing the HB08 next week and I’ll update this page with links to the full reviews when they become available.

Here’s a quick rundown of the most important features of each.

HB08 Smart Bracelet (OXSII Smart Bracelet)

The HB08 Smart Bracelet is one of the nicer looking budget fitness trackers I’ve found.  It has a design that I think both men and women will like with a milanese strap for a dressier look.

Features

  • pedometer
  • running mode
  • swimming mode (IP67 for swimming up to 1 meter deep)
  • cycling mode
  • sleep tracking
  • continuous heart rate tracking
  • blood pressure monitor
  • smartphone notifications

UPDATE:  Well, I didn’t have much luck with the HB08 Smart Bracelet fitness tracker which is a shame because I really liked the look of it.  Unfortunately I had to return this one. Luckily, Amazon has free return shipping so it wasn’t a big deal to send it back.

The screen froze on me the second day I had it and there was no way to reset the watch.  I did get to do some testing with it before it froze and the heart rate sensor was accurate for resting heart rate.  Sleep tracking and step tracking seemed good but I didn’t get to do much testing.  The blood pressure accuracy was off.  It consistently measured my blood pressure lower than the cuff I used.

The tracker has a lot going for it in terms of design but the app left much to be desired. I can’t personally recommend this one based on my experience but maybe I was just unlucky and got a bad one.  Darn because I really liked it but I might give it another try.

Diggro DB-05 GPS Outdoor Sports Watch

The Diggro DB-05 outdoor watch is a GPS watch built more for outdoor sports.  I chose this one because it has a built-in GPS and supports a wider variety or sport tracking activities.  It also has some features that hikers might find useful including a barometer, altimeter, and thermometer. I’ll be testing out all of those features for their accuracy.

P1 Running GPS Smartwatch

View Producton Amazon

This is probably the first budget-friendly running watch I’ve found packed with this many features.  The P1 has 7 different running modes and a screen that should be bright enough to see in sunlight which is important for runners and anyone tracking outdoor workouts.  This tracker is also waterproof to 50 meters and supports 17 different sport activities.  I’m looking forward to testing this one out because it looks to be a great alternative to more expensive running watches but of course I’ll be testing out the heart rate sensor, GPS accuracy, and much more.
